Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzees

A small group of Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes ellioti) in the rainforests of Cross River in southeastern Nigeria. This particular subspecies of chimpanzee is the most endangered and least distributed among all chimpanzee subspecies.

A silverback Cross River gorilla (Gorilla gorilla diehli) from the rainforests of southeastern Nigeria in the state of Cross River. Cross River gorillas are limited to extreme southeastern Nigeria and southwestern Cameroon. They are the most northerly and westerly of all gorilla subspecies.
